Rivers to Cross

This started out as a post, but, I’ve decided it needs page status…

My lifestyle is so much different to how it used to be. Exercise, food, state of mind, self belief and confidence, it’s all good in the hood!

I’ve had a few ‘adhoc’ mental goals that I’ve been focusing on, but, as the weeks go by, I’m realising that I need to be a bit more structured about it. I’ve given it some thought, I’m by no means totally clear, so I thought I’d share them with you to see what you think. Are you ready?

I have two categories, Personal and Health & Fitness, those with a line through I’ve achieved so far. Yes, I know some of them are funny and personal but hey, I’m being real and I’m being honest. I know that some of you reading this struggle with these things too. Here goes:

Personal

  • Keep on the programme for at least a month
  • Wear one item of clothing from the back of the wardrobe that doesn’t fit
  • Tie laces bending down to foot (not raising it on a step)
  • Put socks on without resting leg on the couch
  • Get out of shower without belly touching sides
  • Put boxer shorts on standing up without having to grab second leg with hand and guide in
  • Sit on the floor without a struggle and get up without a struggle
  • Be able to wear my wedding ring again
  • Wear 4XL, Wear 3XL, Wear 2XL, Wear Large
  • Carry Jan upstairs
  • Wear my fab black shirt, striped shirt, ‘I have the body of a god (pity it’s Buddha) tee shirt, Zip It tee shirt
  • Sit in a restaurant chair that has arms
  • Be able to go on rides at Alton Towers
  • Travel on a plane without use of the ‘extender belt’ (fatty belt)

Health & Fitness

  • Treadmill – Walk 1k
  • Bike – Ride 5k
  • Rower – 1000m in under 5mins
  • Treadmill – Walk 5k
  • Bike – Ride 10k
  • Rower – 2000m in under 9mins
  • Treadmill – 60mins (THR)
  • Bike – 20k
  • Go for a jog
  • Lose:  20lbs, 30lbs, 40lbs, 50lbs, 60lbs, 70lbs, 80lbs, 90lbs, 100lbs, 110lbs, 120lbs, 130lbs, 140lbs, 150lbs, 160lbs, 167lbs
  • Push ups – 5,  101520,  30,  40,  50, 100
  • Pull ups – 1,  2,  3,  4,  5,  7,  10,  15
  • Run a 5k
  • Run a 10k
  • Run One Mile in – 10 minutes, 9 minutes, 8 minutes, 7 minutes
  • Treadmill – 120mins (THR)
  • Bike – 40k
  • Swim 1 mile
  • Walk up Snowdon
  • Walk the Three Peaks – Snowdon, Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis
  • Complete ‘The Three Peak Challenge’ – Over a weekend, Over 24hrs
  • Complete the 100 Amigos Project
  • 224
  • Run a Half Marathon  *On the 3rd August 2011, I actually ran this distance, but, I’m not counting it at complete, as it wasn’t an official race. At least I know I can do it though  🙂  🙂
  • Run a Marathon
  • Mini Triathlon

I’m still absolutely loving this journey that I’m on. I’m feeling so much better in myself physically and mentally. if I keep achieving my goals, the sky’s the limit.

    I’m in awe that you can do some push ups now, i so want to be able to do these! Oh and Pull ups as well, i just need to find a tree at the right height;)
