Hello sports fans!!!
Continuing with last months theme, I decided to ask all my blog and fb friends to guess-timate a ‘how many pounds lost for the month’ figure by looking at a couple of photographs one month apart.
Guesstimates ranged from 14 lbs to about 7 lbs and a big thank you to all those who took part.
So, how did I do…
Well, before I tell you, here is my latest side-by-side green tee comparison shot:
No Brenda Turnley to adjudicate the scales today, so my good friend Chris Mulvaney did the honours instead.
Here goes…
A little bit of blurb I want to say every time I post a new weight
✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤
Weight loss is not my focus. I repeat, in big letters so that you hear me loud and clear – WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT MY FOCUS !!!!!!!
A ‘healthier’ lifestyle is what I’m striving for and I refuse to be distracted by, or more importantly, discouraged by, ‘The Scales From Hell’. Scales are of the devil. They make you feel good for a little while, but all of a sudden, they can turn against you and laugh in your face whilst you despair. Use sparingly and as a guide ONLY!!!

Roll those drums…
Loss for September 2011 = 8.5 lbs
This beat original target for September of 7 lbs but not my revised one of 12 lbs.
Starting Weight 391
Losses To Date 86 + 8.5
Total Weight Loss = 94.5 lbs / 6 st 10.5 lbs / 42.8 kgs
Current Weight = 297.5 lbs /// 21 st 03.5 lbs ///134.9 kgs
New Target 290
Very, very happy with this loss. Considering the changes I underwent in September, I would have been happy with 4 lbs if I’m honest. A new job, the big meeting Jan and I had with regard to the family (I promise I’ll tell you the full story soon) and the reduction in the number of times I can realistically train each week, I’m really pleased with how I’ve done. Onwards and upwards (well downwards) now. A new gym near work which opens up more opportunity for me and I’m under 300 lbs…
I’m under 300 lbs
Sorry, I just had to say that again, in fact, I’m going to say it again, forgive me as I shout –
******* I’M UNDER 300 LBS ********
Guys, I think the last time I was under 300 lbs, I was about 18 years old. To be honest, I can’t actually remember, it’s been that long.
I’m over the moon, speechless and extremely, extremely grateful and thankful. I’m closing in on 100 lbs lost and I’ve done it in a very natural way. I’m not ‘having a go’ at the various diets out there and I’m not getting on any high horse, I just know that for me, ‘Diets Don’t Work’ and a ‘Healthy Balance’ does.
If right now, you are like I used to be and you’re struggling with your health, weight and self image, don’t be discouraged, there is a way out. Yes it will involve some choices and at first you’ll find it difficult, but, if you take some small steps, make some small changes, you will see and feel the benefit. If you don’t believe me, or you want a little bit more encouragement, scroll back up to my ‘Green Tee’ picture and click on it so it’s nice and big. I don’t recognise the guy on the left, but, that was me six months a go. Six months.
You Can Do It…
Before a go, a mahoosive shout out to one of my bosses in work, the lovely Lisa Mitchell. Lisa was one of the managers who interviewed me and the one who started the ball rolling for me being able to use the shower in work.
Lisa, I promised I’d give you a mention and I just want to say – You Rock! Can’t wait for Monday. Yes, I know this is extremely sad of me, but, what can I say, I love my job, my new job, the job which has given me purpose and dignity again. Thank you for giving me a chance. you won’t be sorry!!! Btw, it seems like I can’t get away from work lately. This morning I went to the gym to do some cardio and then went for a 5k run around the Marina. Who did I bump into, Andy haha. Are you guys following me or something 😀
Right gotta go.
Big love from the brotherhood.
Adios amigos,
Paul (Kracker)
