I’ve had a couple of days off from the gym and running. I think the long run on Thursday took more out of me than I realised and a ‘light’ recovery session in the gym on Friday ended up being over two hours, oh and a three mile walk in the evening taking a ‘100 Amigos’ photo – Doh! I’ve also had quite a bit of muscular pain in my back and shoulders from a weights routine, so I thought it best to chilax.
I’ve been okay with food and I’ve maintained the ‘not eating after 8pm’, August mini project, so I’m not concerned that I’ve let things slide. It’s all a part of developing a ‘balanced’ approach to my life change. Remember, I’m not on a diet and it’s not all about losing weight. I am far ‘healthier’ today than I think I ever was and I’ve no plans to stop now. I WILL be in the gym tomorrow and hopefully I’m going to start having a proper look at nutrition.
Jan (my infinitely better half) said something funny to me yesterday. Apparently my head is looking smaller haha. I said, “surely you mean my face is looking thinner babes.” “No,” she said, “your head is smaller.” I laughed my (smaller) head off it was that funny. I guess it’s true though right? If you lose weight around your face and skull, your head will become smaller, just like your stomach or your thighs. Priceless observation by Mrs B.
