What a song! Michael Buble’s version is great, but, if you really want to get a vibe with this song, you MUST listen to the Nina Simone version. Nuff said.

So, yeah baby, it’s a new month and I’m feeling good. I’ve had a couple of days off from the gym. Rested my body and celebrated reaching 5st /// 31kgs /// 70lbs total loss and then hit the gym again today. I’ve also decided to try and not eat after 8pm for the whole of August *gulp*. I know, it’s gonna be really hard, but, I need to set myself new little challenges. Talking about challenges…

I need to get back on track with my 100 Amigos challenge. If you don’t know what that is, click the link here, back over there (where it says 100 Amigos :-)) or check the link on the main menu haha. Yeah it’s a great little project and as we speak I have a hat winging it’s way towards me from the U.S of A. That’s just the inspiration I need, to get me thinking of ideas for new pictures. Thanks Laura!!!!! Maybe I’m trying to over complicate what is in essence a simple little task. I don’t need grand ideas, I just need hats, scarf’s etc and more pictures. Yep, I’ll just do that. Please, please, send me something.

Another thing I need to do it have a look at my Rivers to Cross page and see if I can make inroads with any more of them. For instance, a couple of weeks a go, we were all set for our walk up Snowdon, that hasn’t happened, so I need to get on with it. I’m also going to add a few more me thinks. Again, any ideas you want to contribute, please do.

I actually think I’m nearly ready for a half marathon. Whoaaaaa there Paul, you’ve not even done an official 10k yet! Yeah, I know, but, I have ran over 10k twice now and I really felt fresh and as if I could go a lot further. I want my next big run to be 10 miles (16k) and I want to do that in the next couple of weeks. If I can do 10 miles, I reckon I can ‘defo’ do 13.1 miles which is a half marathon distance. What do you reckon Andy/Lucy? Yes, let’s see if you are reading the blog muhahahaha!!!

Talking of running, it’s actually becoming quite addictive! There is something about getting yourself in a rhythm and just feeling like you can go on and on and on and on. I find the first 10 or 15 minutes quite difficult and then I’m okay, but, with no real rhythm. Then, after about three or four ‘k’ I find (well it just seems to happen) a great rhythm. Why it takes me that long, I don’t know, but, my breathing, my stride (short though it is), my arms just feel great and everything feels ‘in sink’ with each other. At this point, I feel like I can just keep going in a ‘Forrest Gump’ stylie.

      Haha. A piece of chocolate cake and two days rest from the gym. Oh and a danish pastry, a full pack of 8 Snickers Bars and a family sized bad of Doritos, although I didn’t eat them all 😉 Not tooooooo bad hey *burp*
