It’s a gooooaaaaal !!!!!

So my journey to a ‘healthier’ lifestyle is officially seven weeks old. Seven weeks already, it’s gone so quickly. Well, to be honest, it’s really only four weeks, because, although I had my Active Sefton Induction on the 25th March 2011, I only actually got serious on the 18th April 2011 when I changed to my current gym. So, four weeks in and my lifestyle is so much different to how it used to be. Exercise, food, state of mind, self belief and confidence, it’s all good in the hood!

I’ve had a few ‘adhoc’ mental goals that I’ve been focusing on, but, as the weeks go by, I’m realising that I need to be a bit more structured about it. I’ve given it some thought, I’m by no means totally clear, so I thought I’d share them with you to see what you think. Are you ready?

I have two categories, Personal and Health & Fitness, those with a line through I’ve achieved so far. Yes, I know some of them are funny and personal but hey, I’m being real and I’m being honest. I know that some of you reading this struggle with these things too. Here goes:

About paulbentley

My name is Paul Bentley and I started my blog in May 2011. I live in Liverpool in the North West of England, UK – I have always had ‘issues’ with my weight! When I got to 27st 13lbs (177kgs or 391lbs) I finally decided that ‘enough is enough’ and I need to make changes. As part of the process I decided I need to make myself accountable, so I’ve decided to be accountable to you. Thanks for offering ;-)

Congratulations on achieving some goals. #2 on the personal list I can especially relate to. If I lost 20 lbs., I’d have a whole new wardrobe.

    Mini Triathalon–wow. You’ll get there. 🙂

The mini-triathlon is a long way away, but I want it there, a long with the marathon. Listen to me, ha, four weeks a go a drove the car to the corner shop – no joke! I need to categorise the goals further in to short, medium and long-term. I might do some kind of spread sheet and give it a page on the blog. If you have any ideas, hit me with them. Eventually, I’m aiming for a, “because I’m healthier I can now do this” – bucket list. How cool would that be? 😀

      Thanks for the input.

      Paul
